The Waverly Tigers softball team scored 4 runs and held the host Fairfield Lions to 3 in the Tigers non-league win on Saturday.

The Tigers now sport a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Clay for a non-league test on Saturday, April 4. Waverly will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 9-0 non-league loss to Eastern (Sardinia, OH). The Panthers record now stands at 5-3.

The Lions (7-3) will now prepare for their test against West Union (West Union, OH). The Dragons go into the Southern Hills Athletic test with a 0-2 record. In their last test, West Union was nudged by Manchester (Manchester, OH), 22-2, in a league test.
