Pennsylvania High School Softball - Chestnut Ridge nudges Philipsburg-Osceola
April 5, 2022: Philipsburg, PA 16866 Chestnut Ridge Lions (New Paris, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Philipsburg-Osceola Mountaineers (Philipsburg, PA), 10-9 in a non-league challenge.
The Lions now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Central Cambria for a Laurel Highlands 1 challenge on Friday, April 8. Chestnut Ridge will battle a Red Devils squad coming off a 11-1 league win over Greater Johnstown (Johnstown, PA). The Red Devils record now stands at 3-0.
With the loss, Philipsburg-Osceola falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Mountaineers travel to Huntingdon (Huntingdon, PA) to battle the Bearcats in a Mountain - Allegheny challenge on Thursday, April 7. The Bearcats enter the challenge with a record of 0-2. Huntingdon lost 14-0 in their recent league challenge against Hollidaysburg (Hollidaysburg, PA)
