Massachusetts High School Softball - Melrose gets by Belmont
April 5, 2023: Melrose, MA 02176 Spectators at Wednesday's league match between the Melrose Red Raiders (Melrose, MA) and the visiting Belmont Marauders (Belmont, MA), witnessed Melrose's softball squad tip Belmont by a count of 17-16.
The Red Raiders now sport a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Lynn English for a non-league match on Friday, April 7. Melrose will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 32-20 league win over Revere (Revere, MA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-0.
With the loss, Belmont moves to 1-2 on the season. The Marauders travel to Westport (Westport, MA) to face the Wildcats in a non-league match on Thursday, April 6. The Wildcats go into the match with a record of 0-0.
