April 5, 2024: Opelousas, LA 70570 The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Opelousas Catholic Vikings (Opelousas, LA) and the visiting E.D. White Cardinals (Thibodaux, LA), saw Opelousas Catholic's softball squad nip E.D. White by a count of 8-7.
The Vikings now sport a 21-5 record. They take the field next when they host Archbishop Chapelle for a non-league match on Saturday, April 6. Opelousas Catholic will face a Chipmunks squad coming off a 9-7 non-league loss to Calvary Baptist Academy (Shreveport, LA). The Chipmunks record now stands at 18-8.
With the loss, E.D. White falls to 19-8 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to St. Thomas More (Lafayette, LA) to face the Cougars in a non-league match on Friday, April 5. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 26-2. St. Thomas More won 14-6 in their recent non-league match against Sacred Heart (Ville Platte, LA)
