Connecticut High School Softball - Weston nudges Greenwich
April 5, 2024: Weston, CT 06883 Weston Trojans (Weston, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Greenwich Cardinals (Greenwich, CT), 9-8 in a non-league challenge.
The Trojans now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Notre Dame Catholic for a Southwest - Colonial challenge on Monday, April 8. Weston will battle a Lancers squad coming off a 8-4 non-league loss to Nonnewaug (Woodbury, CT). The Lancers record now stands at 2-2.
With the loss, Greenwich falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Stratford (Stratford, CT) to battle the Red Devils in a non-league challenge on Sunday, April 7. The Red Devils enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. Stratford won 26-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Harding (Bridgeport, CT)
