New York High School Softball - Lisbon Central bounces Madrid-Waddington
April 6, 2022: Lisbon, NY 13658 Lisbon Central Golden Knights (Lisbon, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Madrid-Waddington Yellowjackets (Madrid, NY), 16-11 in a non-league challenge.
The Golden Knights now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Heuvelton Central for a Section 10 West challenge on Monday, April 11. Lisbon Central will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 9-1 league win over Hermon-DeKalb Central (DeKalb Junction, NY). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-1.
With the loss, Madrid-Waddington falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Chateaugay (Chateaugay, NY) to battle the Bulldogs in a Section 10 East challenge on Monday, April 11. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
