Western Boone Stars (Thorntown, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Faith Christian Eagles (Lafayette, IN), 16-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Stars now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Brownsburg for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 10. Western Boone will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 7-4 non-league win over Floyd Central (Floyds Knobs, IN). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, Faith Christian falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Delphi Community (Delphi, IN) to battle the Oracles in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 8.
