Southwestern Piasa Birds (Piasa, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting St. Louis HomeSchool Patriots Patriots (St. Louis, MO), 5-4 in a non-league test.

With the win, Southwestern upgrades its record to 10-2 on the season. The Piasa Birds host Father McGivney Catholic (Glen Carbon, IL) to battle the Griffins in a non-league test on Monday, April 8. The Griffins come into the test with a record of 12-1. Father McGivney Catholic won 10-0 in their recent non-league test against Heyworth (Heyworth, IL)

With the defeat, St. Louis HomeSchool Patriots falls to 12-8 on the season. The Patriots travel to Central (Park Hills, MO) to battle the Rebels in a non-league test on Monday, April 8. The Rebels come into the test with a record of 6-4. Central lost 11-1 in their recent league test against Valle Catholic (Ste. Genevieve, MO)
