April 6, 2024: Monette, AR 72447 The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Brookland Bearcats (Brookland, AR) and the host Buffalo Island Central Mustangs (Monette, AR), saw Brookland's softball squad achieve victory over Buffalo Island Central by a count of 12-0.
The Bearcats now sport a 12-6 record. They take the field next when they host Pocahontas for a 4A Region 3 match on Tuesday, April 9. Brookland will face a Redskins squad coming off a 8-1 league loss to Southside (Batesville, AR). The Redskins record now stands at 6-4.
With the loss, Buffalo Island Central falls to 6-7 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Cross County (Cherry Valley, AR) to face the Thunderbirds in a 2A Region 3 match on Monday, April 8. The Thunderbirds enter the match with a record of 8-9. Cross County won 14-4 in their recent non-league match against Palestine-Wheatley (Palestine, AR)
