Illinois High School Softball - Stillman Valley bounces DeKalb
April 6, 2024: DeKalb, IL 60115 Stillman Valley Cardinals (Stillman Valley, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host DeKalb Barbs (DeKalb, IL), 5-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Cardinals now own a 8-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oregon for a Big Northern challenge on Monday, April 8. Stillman Valley will battle a Hawks squad coming off a 11-10 non-league loss to Lena-Winslow (Lena, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 4-4.
With the loss, DeKalb falls to 2-4 on the campaign. The Barbs travel to Metea Valley (Aurora, IL) to battle the Mustangs in a DuPage Valley challenge on Monday, April 8. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 2-5. Metea Valley won 11-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Geneva (Geneva, IL)
