The Tohatchi Cougars routed the host McCurdy Bobcats softball squad by a final score of 18-2 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Cougars (4-5) will now prepare for their battle against Thoreau (Thoreau, NM). The Hawks go into the 3A District 1 battle with a 0-6 record. In their last battle, Thoreau was routed by Laguna Acoma (New Laguna, NM), 16-0, in a non-league battle.
