Tennessee High School Softball - Smith County bounces Pickett County
April 6, 2024: Carthage, TN 37030 Smith County Owls (Carthage, TN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Pickett County Bobcats (Byrdstown, TN), 11-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Owls now sport a 9-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cannon County for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 8. Smith County will face a Lions squad coming off a 19-4 league win over Cascade (Wartrace, TN). The Lions record now stands at 3-8.
With the loss, Pickett County falls to 0-6 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to Clarkrange (Clarkrange, TN) to face the Buffaloes in a 1A District 7 challenge on Tuesday, April 9. The Buffaloes enter the challenge with a record of 2-4. Clarkrange won 7-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Jackson County (Gainesboro, TN)
