The Santa Fe Trail Chargers baseball team scored 13 runs and held the host Atchison County Tigers to 5 in the Chargers non-league win on Monday.

The Chargers now own a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they host Baldwin for a non-league test on Tuesday, April 7. Santa Fe Trail will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 8-2 non-league loss to Perry-Lecompton (Perry, KS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-5.

With the defeat, Atchison County drops to 0-5 on the year. The Tigers host Jackson Heights (Holton, KS) to play the Cobras in a Northeast Kansas test on Thursday, April 16. The Cobras go into the test with a record of 3-3.
