In Monday's non-league contest, the visiting Taft Eagles lacrosse squad scored a tight 6-4 triumph over the Wheeling Wildcats.

The Eagles (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against St. Laurence (Burbank, IL). The Vikings go into the non-league contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, St. Laurence was edged by Nazareth Academy (LaGrange Park, IL), 4-3, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Wildcats meet the Buffalo Grove Bison (Buffalo Grove, IL) in a Mid Suburban contest, on Thursday, April 9. Wheeling will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Bison come into the battle with a 1-3 record after their 7-6 non-league win over Jacobs (Algonquin, IL).
