Kentucky High School Softball - Central Hardin holds off Apollo
April 7, 2022: Owensboro, KY 42301 Central Hardin Bruins (Cecilia, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Apollo Eagles (Owensboro, KY), 7-5 in a non-league challenge.
The Bruins now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hancock County for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 8. Central Hardin will battle a Hornets squad coming off a 5-0 non-league win over Eastern (Louisville, KY). The Hornets record now stands at 10-1.
With the loss, Apollo falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Eagles host Breckinridge County (Harned, KY) to battle the Fighting Tigers in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 11. The Fighting Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 6-8. Breckinridge County won 9-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Eastern (Louisville, KY)
