April 8, 2022: Midfield, AL 35228 The Bessemer City Tigers crushed the host Midfield Patriots baseball team by a tally of 16-2 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Tigers now hold a 2-12 record. They take the field next when they host Parker for a non-league bout on Monday, April 11. Bessemer City will face a Thundering Herd team coming off a 10-8 league loss to Ramsay (Birmingham, AL). The Thundering Herd record now stands at 19-5.
Next, the Patriots face the Altamont Knights (Birmingham, AL) in a 2A Area 9 bout, on Saturday, April 9. Midfield will attempt to advance on its 0-10 season record. The Knights enter the bout with a 2-2 record after their 10-6 league win over Westminster School at Oak Mountain (Birmingham, AL).
