Griffith Panthers (Griffith, IN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Portage Indians (Portage, IN), 5-3 in a non-league test.

With the win, Griffith upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Panthers host River Forest (Hobart, IN) to battle the Ingots in a non-league test on Tuesday, April 11. The Ingots come into the test with a record of 4-2. River Forest lost 15-2 in their recent league test against Hanover Central (Cedar Lake, IN)

With the defeat, Portage falls to 0-5 on the season. The Indians travel to Michigan City (Michigan City, IN) to battle the Wolves in a Duneland test on Tuesday, April 11. The Wolves come into the test with a record of 1-2. Michigan City lost 14-0 in their recent league test against Crown Point (Crown Point, IN)
