April 8, 2023: Franklin, KY 42134 Franklin-Simpson Wildcats (Franklin, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Green County Dragons (Greensburg, KY), 6-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Wildcats now own a 3-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Woodford County for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 8. Franklin-Simpson will face a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 13-3 non-league win over Owensboro Catholic (Owensboro, KY). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 9-3.
With the loss, Green County falls to 7-6 on the campaign. The Dragons host Bullitt East (Mt. Washington, KY) to face the Chargers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 8. The Chargers enter the challenge with a record of 8-4. Bullitt East won 15-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Taylor County (Campbellsville, KY)
