Fairmont Senior Polar Bears (Fairmont, WV) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV), 3-1 in a league test.

With the win, Fairmont Senior upgrades its record to 7-1 on the season. The Polar Bears travel to Liberty (Clarksburg, WV) to battle the Mountaineers in a Big Ten test on Tuesday, April 9. The Mountaineers come into the test with a record of 2-8. Liberty won 16-3 in their recent non-league test against Notre Dame (Clarksburg, WV)

With the defeat, Preston falls to 1-4 on the season. The Knights travel to Lincoln (Shinnston, WV) to battle the Cougars in a Big Ten test on Tuesday, April 9. The Cougars come into the test with a record of 1-5. Lincoln lost 10-3 in their recent league test against Robert C. Byrd (Clarksburg, WV)
