The crowd at Wednesday's non-league battle between the El Capitan Gauchos (Merced, CA) and the host Valencia Tigers (Placentia, CA), saw El Capitan's baseball team gain a win over Valencia by a tally of 5-1.

The Gauchos (12-6) will now prepare for their battle against Buhach Colony (Atwater, CA). The Thunder enter the Central California Conference battle with a 7-12 record. In their last battle, Buhach Colony was overwhelmed by Hughson (Hughson, CA), 14-2, in a non-league battle.
