North Carolina High School Softball - Crest bounces McMichael

April 8, 2026: Shelby, NC 28152

In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Crest Chargers softball team scored a nice 12-2 win over the McMichael Phoenix.

The Chargers (14-3) will now prepare for their match against Kings Mountain (Kings Mountain, NC). The Mountaineers come into the Big South 5A/6A match with a 12-3 record. In their last match, Kings Mountain notched a victory over Keyser (Keyser, WV), 12-1, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Phoenix confront the Rockingham County Cougars (Wentworth, NC) in a Mid-State 3A/4A/5A match, on Wednesday, April 15. McMichael will attempt to better on its 15-2 season record.
