The St. Bede Bruins triumphed over the visiting Sterling Golden Warriors softball squad by a count of 8-3 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Bruins play the Serena Huskers (Serena, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, April 9. St. Bede will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record. The Huskers enter the challenge with a 3-4 record after their 16-4 league win over Indian Creek (Shabbona, IL).

The Golden Warriors (6-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Galesburg (Galesburg, IL). The Silver Streaks enter the Western Big 6 challenge with a 3-9 record. In their last challenge, Galesburg was routed by Geneseo (Geneseo, IL), 9-0, in a league challenge.
