Louisiana High School Baseball - Ascension Catholic holds off Central Private
April 9, 2021: Baker, LA 70714 Spectators at Friday's non-league battle between the Ascension Catholic Bulldogs (Donaldsonville, LA) and the host Central Private Redhawks (Baker, LA), saw Ascension Catholic's baseball squad knock off Central Private by a count of 7-3.
Coming up next, the Bulldogs play the St. John Eagles (Plaquemine, LA) in a 1A District 7 battle, on Tuesday, April 13. Ascension Catholic will attempt to move on its 17-5 season record.
The Redhawks now possess a 9-12 record. They take the field next when they host Southern Lab for a 1A District 6 battle on Monday, April 12. Central Private will play a Kittens squad coming off a 8-5 league loss to Slaughter Community Charter (Slaughter, LA). The Kittens record now stands at 11-5.
