April 9, 2022: Hayden, AL 35079 The Hayden Wildcats baseball team scored 9 runs and limited the visiting Brewer Patriots to 7 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Saturday.
The Wildcats (16-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Corner (Warrior, AL). The Yellow Jackets come into the 5A Area 12 challenge with a 15-6 record. In their last challenge, Corner by Jasper (Jasper, AL), 7-2, in a non-league challenge.
With the defeat, Brewer falls to 5-18 on the season. The Patriots host Guntersville (Guntersville, AL) to battle the Wildcats in a 5A Area 14 challenge on Tuesday, April 12. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 7-12. Guntersville lost 3-1 in their recent league challenge against Fairview (Cullman, AL)
