Illinois High School Softball - Midwest Central/Illini Central bounces El Paso-Gridley
April 9, 2022: El Paso, IL 61738 Midwest Central/Illini Central Raiders (Manito, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host El Paso-Gridley Titans (El Paso, IL), 11-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Raiders now own a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Dunlap for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 9. Midwest Central/Illini Central will face a Eagles squad coming off a 14-4 league loss to Pekin (Pekin, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 4-2.
With the loss, El Paso-Gridley falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Titans travel to Lexington (Lexington, IL) to face the Minutemen in a Heart of Illinois challenge on Monday, April 11. The Minutemen enter the challenge with a record of 6-1. Lexington lost 8-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Woodland (Streator, IL)
