Esparto Spartans (Esparto, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Redwood Christian Eagles (San Lorenzo, CA), 10-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Spartans now sport a 4-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Golden Sierra for a Sierra Delta League challenge on Monday, April 18. Esparto will face a Grizzlies squad coming off a 10-9 non-league loss to Rio Vista (Rio Vista, CA). The Grizzlies record now stands at 5-6.

The Eagles now sport a 7-8 record. They play next when they host Making Waves Academy for a Bay Counties - East battle on Tuesday, April 19.
