Tennessee High School Softball - Waverly Central holds off Walker Valley
April 9, 2022: Cleveland, TN 37312 Waverly Central Tigers (Waverly, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Walker Valley Mustangs (Cleveland, TN), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Tigers now own a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Montgomery Central for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 11.
With the loss, Walker Valley falls to 17-9 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to McMinn County (Athens, TN) to face the Cherokees in a 4A District 5 challenge on Tuesday, April 12. The Cherokees enter the challenge with a record of 10-6.
