The crowd at Wednesday's non-league battle between the South Spartans (Torrance, CA) and the host Covina Colts (Covina, CA), saw South's baseball team gain a win over Covina by a tally of 3-0.

The Spartans (10-8) will now prepare for their battle against Bishop Montgomery (Torrance, CA). The Knights enter the non-league battle with a 10-9 record. In their last battle, Bishop Montgomery held off St. Monica (Santa Monica, CA), 5-4, in a league battle.

Next, the Colts face the Northview Vikings (Covina, CA) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, April 15. Covina will attempt to upgrade on its 9-8 season record. The Vikings enter the battle with a 8-9 record after their 10-2 non-league loss to Newport Harbor (Newport Beach, CA).
