The Independence Patriots volleyball squad (Glendale, AZ), was edged 3-2 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host Apollo Hawks (Glendale, AZ)

With the win, Apollo improves its record to 9-10 on the season. The Hawks travel to Camelback (Phoenix, AZ) to encounter the Spartans in a non-league battle on Monday, April 14. The Spartans go into the battle with a record of 5-13. Camelback won 3-2 in their recent league battle against South Mountain (Phoenix, AZ)

The Patriots now own a 14-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Desert Edge for a 5A Central Valley battle on Friday, April 11. Independence will encounter a Scorpions squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Buckeye (Buckeye, AZ). The Scorpions record now stands at 8-7.
