In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Springs Valley Blackhawks softball team scored a tight 5-3 win over the Bloomfield Cardinals.

The Blackhawks (3-1) will now prepare for their match against Crawford County (Marengo, IN). The Wolfpack come into the Patoka Lake match with a 0-2 record. In their last match, Crawford County by South Spencer (Rockport, IN), 10-3, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Cardinals battle the West Vigo Vikings (West Terre Haute, IN) in a non-league match, on Friday, April 11. Bloomfield will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Vikings come into the match with a 3-0 record after their 21-2 non-league win over South Vermillion (Clinton, IN).
