April 9, 2026: Mapleton, OR 97453 The Mapleton/Siuslaw Sailors (Mapleton, OR) baseball trounced the visiting Toledo Boomers (Toledo, OR), 7-0 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
The Sailors now own a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they host South Umpqua for a 3A Far West challenge on Tuesday, April 14. Mapleton/Siuslaw will clash with a Lancers team coming off a 8-1 non-league loss to North Bend (North Bend, OR). The Lancers record now stands at 4-6.
With the defeat, Toledo drops to 9-5 on the year. The Boomers host Waldport (Waldport, OR) to clash with the Irish in a 2A/1A-SD4 Special District 4 challenge on Tuesday, April 14. The Irish go into the challenge with a record of 2-8.
