Metro Tech Knights (Phoenix, AZ) supporters left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Apache Junction Prospectors (Apache Junction, AZ), 22-2 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Metro Tech improves its record to 6-5 on the year. The Knights travel to McClintock (Tempe, AZ) to play the Chargers in a 5A Metro game on Tuesday, April 14. The Chargers enter the game with a record of 8-4. McClintock won 1-0 in their recent league game against Central (Phoenix, AZ)

The Prospectors now hold a 1-10 record. They play next when they travel to Florence for a 3A Central game on Tuesday, April 14. Apache Junction will play a Gophers squad coming off a 6-5 non-league loss to Blue Ridge (Lakeside, AZ). The Gophers record now stands at 4-11.
