Game Story

California High School Softball - West Valley bounces Banning

April 9, 2026: Hemet, CA 92545

In Thursday's non-league match, the host West Valley Mustangs softball team scored a tight 11-5 victory over the Banning Broncos.

The Mustangs (7-5) will now prepare for their match against Temescal Canyon (Lake Elsinore, CA). The Titans go into the Mountain Pass match with a 11-5 record. In their last match, Temescal Canyon tipped Tahquitz (Hemet, CA), 13-3, in a league match.

In their next game, the Broncos battle the Desert Mirage RAMS (Thermal, CA) in a Sun Valley match, on Tuesday, April 14. Banning will attempt to better on its 6-8 season record. The RAMS go into the match with a 1-8 record after their 18-8 league loss to Desert Hot Springs (Desert Hot Springs, CA).
