May 1, 2021: Brandywine, MD 20613 Gwynn Park Yellowjackets (Brandywine, MD) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Laurel Spartans (Laurel, MD), 14-7 in a non-league test.
With the win, Gwynn Park upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Yellowjackets host Douglass (Upper Marlboro, MD) to battle the Eagles in a Prince George's County 3/2A/1A test on Wednesday, May 5. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 1-0. Douglass won 13-12 in their recent non-league test against Northwestern (Hyattsville, MD)
With the defeat, Laurel falls to 1-1 on the season. The Spartans host Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North (Laurel, MD) to battle the Lions in a non-league test on Tuesday, May 4. The Lions come into the test with a record of 0-1. Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North lost 22-3 in their recent non-league test against Flowers (Springdale, MD)
