May 1, 2021: Piasa, IL 62079 The crowd at Saturday's non-league test between the Civic Memorial Eagles (Bethalto, IL) and the host Southwestern Piasa Birds (Piasa, IL), saw Civic Memorial's soccer squad triumph over Southwestern by a margin of 7-1.
The Eagles now sport a 3-3 record. They play next when they travel to Alton for a non-league test on Monday, May 3. Civic Memorial will meet a Redbirds squad coming off a 4-0 league loss to Belleville East (Belleville, IL). The Redbirds record now stands at 1-4.
With the loss, Southwestern drops to 1-3 on the season. The Piasa birds travel to Gillespie (Gillespie, IL) to meet the Miners in a South Central test on Monday, May 3. The Miners come into the test with a record of 0-4. Gillespie lost 2-1 in their recent league test against Pana (Pana, IL)
