South County Stallions (Lorton, VA) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting West Springfield Spartans (Springfield, VA), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Stallions confront the Fairfax Lions (Fairfax, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, May 5. South County will attempt to better on its 5-2 season record. The Lions enter the challenge with a 3-5 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Robinson (Fairfax, VA).

The Spartans now have a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host West Potomac for a non-league test on Friday, May 5. West Springfield will meet a Wolverines squad coming off a 1-0 non-league loss to Alexandria City (Alexandria, VA). The Wolverines record now stands at 5-3.
