Illinois High School Baseball - Mendota loses to Sterling
May 1, 2024: Mendota, IL 61342 In Wednesday's non-league game, the visiting Sterling Golden Warriors baseball team scored a tight 4-0 victory over the Mendota Trojans.
The Golden Warriors (7-12) will now prepare for their game against Geneseo (Geneseo, IL). The Maple Leafs go into the Western Big Six game with a 10-15 record. In their last game, Geneseo was overwhelmed by Morton (Morton, IL), 13-3, in a non-league game.
The Trojans (7-7) will now prepare for their game against Erie-Prophetstown (Erie, IL). The Panthers go into the non-league game with a 6-7 record. In their last game, Erie-Prophetstown tipped Princeton (Princeton, IL), 6-1, in a non-league game.
