May 1, 2024: Max Meadows, VA 24360 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league test between the Fort Chiswell Pioneers (Max Meadows, VA) and the visiting Holston Cavaliers (Damascus, VA), saw Fort Chiswell's soccer squad triumph over Holston by a count of 5-0.
The Pioneers now hold a 9-4 record. They play next when they travel to Giles for a Mountain Empire test on Thursday, May 2. Fort Chiswell will meet a Spartans squad coming off a 5-0 non-league win over Narrows (Narrows, VA). The Spartans record now stands at 8-5.
With the loss, Holston drops to 1-6 on the season. The Cavaliers travel to Rural Retreat (Rural Retreat, VA) to meet the Indians in a Hogoheegee test on Tuesday, May 7. The Indians come into the test with a record of 0-12.
