Delmar Wildcats (Delmar, DE) fans left the game pleased Thursday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting Smyrna Eagles (Smyrna, DE), 8-3 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, Delmar advances its record to 6-6 on the season. The Wildcats host Indian River (Dagsboro, DE) to battle the Indians in a Henlopen South match on Tuesday, May 6. The Indians come into the match with a record of 9-5. Indian River lost 10-1 in their recent non-league match against Sussex Central (Georgetown, DE)

The Eagles now have a 2-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Salesianum for a non-league match on Saturday, May 3. Smyrna will battle a Sallies squad coming off a 8-0 league loss to St. Mark's (Wilmington, DE). The Sallies record now stands at 8-3.
