The Fossil Ridge SaberCats baseball team scored 11 runs and held the visiting Roosevelt Roughriders to 2 in the SaberCats non-league win on Thursday.

The SaberCats now hold a 15-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to ThunderRidge for a non-league test on Saturday, May 3. Fossil Ridge will play a Grizzlies team coming off a 2-0 league loss to Legend (Parker, CO). The Grizzlies record now stands at 5-13.

With the defeat, Roosevelt drops to 12-4 on the year. The Roughriders host Northridge (Greeley, CO) to play the Grizzlies in a 4A/3A Longs Peak test on Saturday, May 3. The Grizzlies go into the test with a record of 1-17. Northridge lost 18-1 in their recent league test against Severance (Severance, CO)
