Virginia High School Softball - Parry McCluer bounces Craig County
May 1, 2025: New Castle, VA 24127 The Parry McCluer Fighting Blues softball team scored 23 runs and held the host Craig County Rockets to 6 in the Fighting Blues league win on Thursday.
The Fighting Blues now sport a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rockbridge County for a non-league battle on Saturday, May 3. Parry McCluer will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 6-0 league loss to Broadway (Broadway, VA). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-5.
With the loss, Craig County moves to 2-5 on the season. The Rockets travel to Narrows (Narrows, VA) to confront the Green Waves in a Pioneer battle on Tuesday, May 6. The Green Waves come into the battle with a record of 1-10. Narrows lost 18-1 in their recent non-league battle against Giles (Pearisburg, VA)
