South Adams Starfires (Berne, IN) supporters left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Union City Indians (Union City, IN), 10-1 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, South Adams improves its record to 10-2 on the year. The Starfires travel to Bellmont (Decatur, IN) to play the Braves in a non-league game on Friday, May 2. The Braves enter the game with a record of 5-7. Bellmont lost 12-4 in their recent league game against Norwell (Ossian, IN)

The Indians now hold a 4-7 record. They play next when they host Ansonia for a non-league game on Saturday, May 3. Union City will play a Tigers squad coming off a 13-3 league win over Newton Local (Pleasant Hill, OH). The Tigers record now stands at 8-8.
