New York High School Lacrosse - Long Beach drops to Port Washington
May 10, 2024: Port Washington, NY 11050 Port Washington Vikings (Port Washington, NY) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad top the visiting Long Beach Marines (Long Beach, NY), 15-5 in a non-league battle.
The Vikings now have a 3-11 record. They take the field next when they host Oceanside for a Section 8 A battle on Thursday, May 16. Port Washington will clash with a Sailors squad coming off a 17-0 league win over Uniondale (Uniondale, NY). The Sailors record now stands at 11-5.
In their next game, the Marines clash with the MacArthur Generals (Levittown, NY) in a Section 8 B - League 2 battle, on Tuesday, May 14. Long Beach will attempt to move on its 10-6 season record. The Generals come into the battle with a 9-7 record after their 14-2 non-league loss to Calhoun (Merrick, NY).
