May 10, 2024: Byron, MN 55920 Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Winona Winhawks (Winona, MN) and the host Byron Bears (Byron, MN), witnessed Winona's softball squad prevail over Byron by a count of 10-1.
The Winhawks now sport a 12-4 record. They play next when they host Faribault for a non-league match on Monday, May 13. Winona will meet a Falcons squad coming off a 13-11 non-league win over South St. Paul (South St. Paul, MN). The Falcons record now stands at 6-7.
With the loss, Byron moves to 6-4 on the season. The Bears travel to Stewartville (Stewartville, MN) to meet the Tigers in a Hiawatha Valley match on Thursday, May 16. The Tigers go into the match with a record of 13-3.
