The Eureka Hornets baseball team scored 3 runs and held the host Morton Potters to 2 in the Hornets non-league win on Saturday.

The Hornets now own a 27-3 record. They take the field next when they host Bloomington Central Catholic for a non-league test on Monday, May 12. Eureka will play a Saints team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Heyworth (Heyworth, IL). The Saints record now stands at 5-22.

With the defeat, Morton drops to 19-8 on the year. The Potters host Dunlap (Dunlap, IL) to play the Eagles in a Mid-Illini test on Monday, May 12. The Eagles go into the test with a record of 19-7. Dunlap won 8-2 in their recent non-league test against Forreston (Forreston, IL)
