The Olympia Spartans baseball squad (Stanford, IL), was overwhelmed 11-4 in Saturday's non-league contest with the host Normal University Pioneers (Normal, IL)

With the triumph, Normal University moves its record to 22-1 on the season. The Pioneers travel to St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL) to confront the Spartans in a non-league contest on Monday, May 12. The Spartans come into the contest with a record of 1-1.

The Spartans now possess a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Heyworth for a non-league contest on Thursday, May 15.
