Iowa High School Soccer - Denison-Schleswig knocks off Sioux City West
May 10, 2025: Denison, IA 51442 The Denison-Schleswig Monarchs (Denison, IA) soccer overwhelmed the visiting Sioux City West Wolverines (Sioux City, IA), 7-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
The Monarchs now hold a 8-4 record. They play next when they travel to Glenwood for a Hawkeye 10 challenge on Tuesday, May 13. Denison-Schleswig will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 4-0 league loss to Lewis Central (Council Bluffs, IA). The Rams record now stands at 9-6.
With the loss, Sioux City West moves to 1-8 on the year. The Wolverines travel to Sergeant Bluff-Luton (Sergeant Bluff, IA) to encounter the Warriors in a Missouri River challenge on Tuesday, May 13. The Warriors go into the challenge with a record of 5-5.
