In Saturday's non-league match, the host Union Grove Broncos softball team scored a tight 9-2 win over the Appleton East Patriots.

The Broncos (17-5) will now prepare for their match against Burlington (Burlington, WI). The Demons come into the Southern Lakes match with a 8-10 record. In their last match, Burlington was routed by Indian Trail (Kenosha, WI), 9-1, in a non-league match.
