The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Aurora Central Catholic Chargers (Aurora, IL) and the visiting Metea Valley Mustangs (Aurora, IL), observed Aurora Central Catholic's softball team get by Metea Valley by a tally of 8-3.

The Chargers (21-8) will now prepare for their bout against Geneva (Geneva, IL). The Vikings go into the non-league bout with a 7-17 record. In their last bout, Geneva was routed by Glenbard North (Carol Stream, IL), 15-5, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Mustangs clash with the Waubonsie Valley Warriors (Aurora, IL) in a DuPage Valley bout, on Monday, May 12. Metea Valley will attempt to advance on its 5-17 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 7-15 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Plainfield Central (Plainfield, IL).
