May 10, 2025: Baraboo, WI 53913 Baraboo Thunderbirds (Baraboo, WI) supporters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Columbus Cardinals (Columbus, WI), 5-3 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Baraboo improves its record to 8-9 on the year. The Thunderbirds host Mount Horeb (Mount Horeb, WI) to play the Vikings in a Badger - Small game on Thursday, May 15. The Vikings enter the game with a record of 15-3.
The Cardinals now hold a 3-11 record. They play next when they host Lake Mills for a Capitol - North game on Monday, May 12. Columbus will play a L-Cats squad coming off a 6-0 non-league loss to Portage (Portage, WI). The L-Cats record now stands at 10-12.
